1. Services

Lumina Design House provides video editing, post-production and creative support services for businesses, educators and brands.

Services may include video editing, course and educational video editing, business and brand video editing, social media video editing and repurposing, script and content support, creative design support and optional on-camera presenter or performance support.

The specific services, deliverables, timelines and fees for each project will be outlined in a quote, proposal, invoice, email agreement or written scope of work.

2. Quotes and Project Scope

All project fees are based on the agreed scope of work. This may include the type of content being created, the amount of footage supplied, the number of videos or assets required, the complexity of the edit and any additional creative support requested.

If a project changes after work has commenced, including additional footage, new deliverables, major direction changes, extra revisions or additional design requirements, Lumina Design House may provide an updated quote or charge additional fees.

3. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to provide all required information, materials, footage, approvals, feedback and access in a timely manner.

Clients are responsible for ensuring they have the right to use any materials they provide, including footage, images, logos, fonts, music, scripts, brand assets and third-party content.

Clients are also responsible for reviewing drafts carefully and providing clear, consolidated feedback within the agreed timeframe.

Delays in providing materials, feedback or approvals may affect project timelines and delivery dates.

4. Project Materials and File Supply

Clients are responsible for supplying project materials in suitable formats and quality for editing.

Lumina Design House will take reasonable care when working with client materials, but is not responsible for issues caused by poor-quality footage, unclear audio, missing files, corrupted files, incorrect formats, incomplete briefs or materials supplied late.

Lumina Design House may use cloud storage, file transfer tools or project management systems to receive, store and share project materials.

5. Revisions and Changes

Reasonable revisions may be included as outlined in the project quote or agreement.

Revisions are intended for refining the agreed direction, not for changing the entire concept, structure, script, footage selection or scope after work has commenced.

Additional revisions, new creative directions, significant restructuring or changes outside the original scope may be charged separately.

6. Payments and Fees

Project fees, deposits, payment schedules and due dates will be outlined in the relevant quote, invoice or agreement.

A deposit or upfront payment may be required before work begins.

Final files may be withheld until full payment has been received.

Late payments may incur administration fees, interest or additional charges where stated on the invoice or agreed payment terms.

7. Intellectual Property

All concepts, edits, working files, project files, drafts, scripts, designs and creative materials created by Lumina Design House remain the intellectual property of Lumina Design House until full payment has been received.

Once full payment has been received, the client is granted permission to use the final approved deliverables for the agreed purposes.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Lumina Design House retains ownership of working files, project files, editing timelines, unused concepts, drafts and source files.

Clients retain ownership of the original materials they supply, including footage, logos, brand assets and other client-owned content.

8. Usage Rights and Third-Party Materials

Clients are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate licences, permissions and rights for any third-party materials they supply or request to be included in a project.

This may include music, stock footage, images, fonts, logos, screenshots, testimonials, performances, locations, products or other copyrighted material.

Where Lumina Design House sources licensed materials for a project, usage will be subject to the licence terms of the relevant provider.

9. Portfolio and Marketing Use

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Lumina Design House may reference completed public-facing work in its portfolio, website, social media, proposals or marketing materials.

Lumina Design House understands that some projects, including private course content, internal business materials, unpublished videos or confidential client work, may not be suitable for public display.

If a project is confidential or cannot be shared publicly, the client should advise Lumina Design House in writing.

10. Confidentiality

Lumina Design House will take reasonable care to keep confidential information, private project materials and unpublished client content secure.

Both parties agree not to disclose confidential information unless required for project delivery, approved in writing or required by law.

11. Timelines and Delivery

Lumina Design House will make reasonable efforts to meet agreed project timelines.

Delivery dates may be affected by client delays, late feedback, missing materials, scope changes, technical issues, illness, availability of collaborators or circumstances outside Lumina Design House’s control.

Any estimated timelines are provided in good faith and may be adjusted if project requirements change.

12. Cancellation and Termination

Either party may cancel or terminate a project in writing.

If a project is cancelled after work has commenced, the client will be responsible for payment for work completed, time spent, costs incurred and any non-refundable expenses up to the date of cancellation.

Deposits may be non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

13. Limitation of Liability

Lumina Design House will provide services with reasonable care and skill.

To the extent permitted by law, Lumina Design House is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, including loss of revenue, loss of profit, loss of data, reputational damage or business interruption.

Lumina Design House’s total liability is limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific project giving rise to the claim.

14. Website Use

The content on this website is provided for general information about Lumina Design House and its services.

While reasonable care is taken to keep information accurate and up to date, Lumina Design House does not guarantee that the website will always be error-free, uninterrupted or current.

15. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

Any disputes will be handled in accordance with the laws and courts of Queensland, Australia.

16. Changes to These Terms

Lumina Design House may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The latest version will be published on the website with the updated date.
